  • The Loving Avoidant Patreon

A monthly in-depth article about avoidant attachment, plus a monthly advice column where I respond to a Patron-submitted query. Recently I’ve opened the option to sign up to get sneak peeks into portions of my book as I work on it, and to receive a free digital copy once it’s released!

  • Free to Attach

By far the most comprehensive existing resource for getting a basic understanding of avoidant attachment styles, Free to Attach is a great place to start, specifically for dismissive avoidants.

  • The Attachment Project

  • Gottman Institute

  • The Avoidant Attachment sub on Reddit

Find support and insight, and offer your own. This is a well-managed subReddit that is supportive of those with avoidant or disorganized styles, and has a zero-tolerance policy for avoidant bashing and other behaviors that make online spaces intolerable or useless for us—you will not get overrun or shouted down here!

  • Personal Development School

While I’ve never personally found Thais Gibson’s content to be consistently relatable, applicable, or all that useful for myself—many many many people, including many avoidants, swear by transformation through her videos, articles, and courses.

  • Clementine Morrigan

Clementine is a cultural thought leader and writer who pontificates on many subjects—all of which might not be helpful, interesting, or even agreeable to everyone—but the little bit she puts out around attachment is excellent. She herself seems to be disorganized with a preoccupied lean—with the wisdom to see her part in creating the dynamic with avoidant partners. Her zine, “Love Without Emergency,” is a great resource for all secure attachment styles and all relationship configurations including monogamy, though it is written in regard to polyamory.
